Mark Batts

Mark was the founder and Chief Executive of Operations of Batts Audio, Video and Lighting, Incorporated. Since 1997, Mark was a primary engineer for sound, lighting and theatrical installs, and he ensured the integrity, functionality, and safety of all the systems that Batts AVL stood behind. Mark held a degree in engineering technology from Texas A&M University.   

Texas Thespians Contributions

Mark served Texas Thespians as an advisor to the Executive Board for 10 years on Audio, Visual, and Lighting needs.  His love for Texas Thespians was strong; he sponsored Tech Challenge, Teacher's receptions, and Tech Design for years.  He truly believed in recognizing technical theatre students at Festival and was generous in his donations to both the organization and individual students.
